With 30 years in residential construction and remodeling, and over 40 years of crew leadership, Ron brings a wealth of experience to every project. Specializing in bathrooms, basements, framing, and flooring, his expertise ensures top-quality craftsmanship. Ron’s passion for the work shines through, and he finds it incredibly rewarding when customers are thrilled with the final results.

Our Story

The story of Rulaco Remodeling began over 30 years ago, long before Tom and Ron had the pleasure of meeting. At the time, Ron was working alongside Tom’s father while running a heating and cooling business, and Tom was busy buying, renovating, and selling homes in Columbus, Ohio. It would be a few more years before their paths crossed, but once they did, a lasting friendship—and eventually, a partnership—was formed.

Over the next decade, Tom and Ron occasionally collaborated on projects. Tom continued to refine his skills, working as a finish carpenter for several remodeling companies in Columbus, building additions, and handling a variety of custom work. During this time, Ron moved to Key West, Florida, where he worked for a real estate developer and freelanced for multiple construction companies. The experience each gained along the way would eventually lead them to join forces. While in Key West, Ron married his wife, Sandra and had a son.

Eight years ago, Tom and Ron sat down in Tom’s kitchen to discuss the idea of starting a remodeling business together. What began as a conversation soon turned into reality. Over the next few years, Ron, Tom, and Ron's wife, Sandra, worked side by side to build their company, renovate homes, and assemble the skilled team that would grow into Rulaco Remodeling.

As the company grew, Tom and Ron were fortunate to connect with wonderful clients, vendors, designers, and contractors who contributed to the success of Rulaco. Then came the COVID years. Like many others, they faced the challenge of working in clients' homes during a difficult and uncertain time. However, they found ways to adapt and keep their team busy, securing one of their most significant projects—the Market Bar at Bridge Park. Alongside the Market Bar build-out, they also embarked on constructing their first tiny home, The Coop, a 20’ x 8’ mobile tiny home. These projects helped the company persevere through the challenges of the pandemic.

Since then, Rulaco Remodeling has continued to thrive, creating a skilled team of carpenters and building a loyal client base. From small renovations to complete home remodels, the company remains dedicated to its core philosophy: build it right, take care of people, and exceed customer expectations.

Today, the mission of Rulaco Remodeling is the same as it was eight years ago in Tom’s kitchen—to provide a quality product with great people, letting the work speak for itself. Tom and Ron are proud of the company they’ve built and are confident that their clients will see the difference when they experience the Rulaco Way.
